KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 – The haze appears to be diminishing without any area recording unhealthy air quality nationwide as of 5 pm on Wednesday. The Department of Environment in its portal stated that 38 areas recorded moderate air pollutant index (API) readings, including Port Dickson (98); Bandaraya Melaka (88); Bukit Rambai (87); Banting (83); and Seremban (81).

An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality; 51 to 100, moderate; 101 to 200, unhealthy; 201 to 300, very unhealthy; and 300 and above, hazardous. For more information, the public can access to apims.doe.gov.my for more updates.
