KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 – Dewan Rakyat speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia said he will quit his post if the government pressed ahead in hosting 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) debate between 1MDB president Arul Kanda Kandasamy and Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua.
Pandikar said the debate was not allowed if Tony Pua does not quit his post as a member of Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC), as the latter’s involvement could prejudice its probe into 1MDB. He said if the government has an agenda to continue the debate, he will not involve himyself in this matter. He said this in the Dewan Rakyat today.
