KUALA TERENGGANU, Dec 25 – The Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin urged Muslims to enhance their knowledge and become innovators of technology. He said without education and knowledge, Muslims cannot become leaders in life. He also said that the failure to acquire Islamic knowledge will make Muslims mere followers of new technologies.
He said this at the Terengganu state level Maulidur Rasul celebration at Stadium Negeri here on Thursday. Tuanku Mizan said Muslims should continue to dominate the acquisition and spread of knowledge so that Islam can be restored as the leader of world civilisation. He reminded Muslims, especially the people of Terengganu, to not let Islamic values suffer at the hands of progress and development.
