KOTA BAHARU, Jan 5 – Parti Amanah Negara is prepared to challenge PAS in Kelantan in the next general election but Kelantan Amanah hopes that Kelantan PAS would cooperate to avert contests between the two parties. Kelantan Amanah chairman Datuk Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah said he had offered cooperation with Kelantan PAS more than four months ago but there had been no response so far.
He said he do not represent the Amanah headquarters and many of his colleagues do not agree with him on the cooperation. He told this to the reporters here on Monday. Meanwhile, Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah had been reported to have said that if Amanah contested in Kelantan, it would be to the advantage of the Barisan Nasional.
