SEPANG, Jan 17 – Pantai Sepang Putra DAP branch here has been disbanded after all it 25 members declared leaving the party Saturday. Branch ex-secretary, N. Thanaletchumy said the members decided to leave DAP because they had lost confidence in the party due to failure of the party leadership to serve the society.
He said the members of DAP Sepang Putra branch, unanimously decide to leave the party effective on Saturday. He told this at the media conference here. He claimed that the DAP leaders only came to them only to seek support during the party and general elections.
Thanaletchumi said he had sent a letter to the Registrar of Societies to inform the matter. On behalf of the former Pantai Sepang Putra DAP branch members, Thanaletchumi then submitted membership forms to join the People’s Alternative Party (PAP), which is a splinter group of DAP. The forms were handed over to PAP secretary-general, David Dass.
