GEORGE TOWN, Jan 21 – Former World Junior champion Zulfadli Zulkiffli who pulled off a pleasant surprise in the Malaysian Masters Grand Prix Gold by beating Hong Kong’s world number five Hu Yun with 17-21, 21-18, 24-22, will be facing Ajay Jayaram of India on Thursday evening.
Zulfadli said right now he doesn’t want to think of his opponent because he just want to rest and focus on the game on Thursday. He, the 22-year-old who will be eyeing a slot in the quarterfinals, told the reporters here on Wednesday. Meanwhile, he has been also given the task to lead Malaysia’s campaign in the Thomas Cup Qualifier in Hyderabad, India next month.
