KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 5 – Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH) has announced depositor bonuses for financial year 2015, comprising an annual bonus of 5.0 per cent and an additional bonus of 3.0 per cent for depositors who have not performed the haj. Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom said the two bonuses amounted to RM3.236 billion compared with RM3.237 billion in 2014.
The bonus payment would benefit nearly 8.85 million active account holders. He said LTH’s net profit after zakat rose to RM3.53 billion in 2015 from RM2.98 billion in 2014, an increase of 19 per cent. Meanwhile, he also added that this is the highest ever revenue and profit recorded by LTH since its inception 52 years ago. He said this when announcing LTH’s financial performance here Thursday.
