GEORGE TOWN, March 24 – Wanita Umno central committee member Datuk Norliza Abdul Rahim, who is also Penang Wanita Umno chief, lodge a report at Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) at 10am against Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng purchased a bungalow at Jalan Pinhorn.
“He sure knew about the real value of Jalan Pinhorn bungalow. He is an accountant, I am sure he knows that when you pay stamp duties, the duty is based on the current market value of the property. We have evidence that such transaction has taken place,”she told reporters outside the MACC headquarters here in Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah here today.
Lim bought the bungalow for RM2.8 million last year from a businesswoman named Phang Li Koon which he had previously rented the bungalow since July 1, 2009. It was claimed that Phang owner had links to the company that bought a piece of 0.4ha land in Taman Manggis.
Phang had since denied the links with the company that owned the Taman Manggis land. In the meanwhile, Lim had also denied allegations hurled against him and welcomed the MACC to investigate him. He said he won’t afraid on it because he is telling the truth.
