GEORGE TOWN, Jan 11 – More than 400 fans presents at Penang International Airport to welcome back FIFA Puskas Award winner Mohd Faiz Subri this evening. He was greeted by his fans as well as members of the Penang state government who are just too happy to share his joy and proud international achievement in football.
Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng also announced a reward of RM50,000 to Faiz and hoped more goals would follow suit to raise the standard of the game not only in Malaysia but at the international stage as well. Also present were Faiz’s parents, family members, wife and child, Deputy Chief Minister I Datuk Rashid Hasnon, state executive councillor Dr Afif Bahardin, Bukit Bendera MP Zairil Khir Johari and top office bearers of the Football Association of Penang (FAP) at the airport to welcome his arrival in Penang.
