GEORGE TOWN, Feb 24 – USM 11th Chinese New Year Charity Gala Celebration will be held on 12 March 2017 at Dewan Tuanku Syed Putra (DTSP) – Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). This event was organized by Chinese Arts & Cultural Secretariat of USM with marking its eleventh year of organizing the Chinese New Year celebration.
This year, they strive to bring you a brand new sensation to usher the year of Rooster. The USM 11th Chinese New Year Charity Gala Celebration is named ‘Mai Union’, which means to invite people from all walks of life to celebrate Chinese New Year together. The core value of this event is ‘Innovating while holding on to traditions’.
It allows the true meaning of Chinese culture and tradition to be felt, thus raises the awareness of maintaining the culture and tradition among the your generation. Besides, the theme concept which is ‘Different yet celebrate together’, means all are welcomed to the USM 11th Chinese New Year Charity Gala Celebration regardless of race and hometown in conjunction with the ‘1Malaysia’ concept.
