GEORGE TOWN, Feb 25 – 40th Kung Fu Night will be held on 18 March 2017 at Dewan Tuanku Syed Putra (DTSP) – Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The roadshow was happening at Khoo Kongsi here this evening. This event was organized by USM Kung Fu Club with the theme of《遊·卌》. “遊”, pronounced as “yóu”, carries the meaning of “journey”. “卌”, pronounced as “xì”, is a unique Chinese character; consists of 5 strokes.
It does not only carry the meaning of the numeral “forty”, but also is an emblem of 5 divisions in the Kung Fu Club, which are the Wushu Division, the Shaolin Division, the Taiji Division, the Drum Division and the Dragon & Lion Division. The combining of these 5 strokes represents the coherence among the 5 divisions in our Kung Fu Club, and through unity, we are able to achieve success, and hence reaching the fortieth milestone of Kung Fu Night.
