TAMPIN, May 21 – The Kuala Lumpur 2017 SEA Games Torch Run arrived at the Dataran Tampin, here today from Alor Gajah, Malacca. Leading the run from Alor Gajah was the Member of Parliament for Alor Gajah Datuk Koh Nai Kwong and they were greeted by the Member of Parliament for Tampin Datuk Seri Shaziman Abu Mansor at 11am.
Also present at the event were the State Exco for Youth and Sports Datuk Zaifulbahri Idris and the State Assemblyman for Gemencheh Datuk Mohd Isam Mohd Isa. The Torch Run, which began in Tampin, would pass the districts of Jempol, Kuala Pilah, Port Dickson, Jelebu, Rembau and Seremban. It is being held for three days and will end on May 25 before being handed over to the representative of the Federal Territory of Labuan scheduled to be held at the Youth and Sports Complex, Paroi. — Bernama
