KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 23 – The I.Seoul.U Concert in Kuala Lumpur received overwhelming response with more than five thousand fans featuring 3 acts from the biggest K-pop company, SM Entertainment, including Yesung from Super Junior, Red Velvet and NCT127 which happened at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on the 23rd of May. The concert was sponsored by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, partnered with Astro.
Fans show their dedication by lining up outside the hall since 6am in the morning, while the concert started off at 7pm with local artists’ performances by the pop trio, De Fam & Malaysian rapper, Altimet. The Vice Mayor of Seoul City, Mr. Gyoung-gee LIU promoted Seoul through a short 5 minutes speech and thanked Malaysians for giving special love towards Korea and it’s culture and entertainment industry.
Red Velvet, NCT127 and Yesung each performed 4 songs including their latest release tracks such as ‘Rookie’, ‘Limitless’ and ‘Fly’ respectively. Each groups had a short interview in between their performances to recommend several Seoul attractions to the fans.
Mark, from NCT127, specifically mentioned in English to the fans that they “just wanted to stop by Malaysia and thank the fans here”. Yesung, who’d came back to Malaysia after a few years, said that he was happy to see a Sapphire blue ocean (the Super Junior official colour) in the concert venue and updates the fans about Super Junior’s current situation.
The concert took place for 2 hours and ended at 9pm with Yesung’s beautiful voice of ‘Only You’ and brought fans to tears.
Additionally, NCT127 is making a comeback with the same 9 members in the coming month of June. They’re currently filming their music video in Korea. – PN/Elsy Cheang
