PETALING JAYA, Jun 3 – A drunk female passenger had to be bound with gaffer tape after a racist attack on a Malaysia Airlines stewardess during a flight to Heathrow, a court heard in Willesden, North West London today. In the January incident, receptionist Maxine Williams was said to have screamed “I hate your f***ing country” at a stewardess when she was refused more alcohol.

It was believed Williams had been on a 10-hour drinking binge although she lashed out in court saying, “My behaviour was normal.” She allegedly called stewardess Teoh Ming Lee “a Malaysian pig”. The 57-year-old also screamed at her: “I hate your f***ing country”.

Williams’ foul-mouthed outburst led the captain of the A380 to declare a security alert at 30,000ft, The Sun of UK reported today. Cabin crew tied her hands behind her back with plastic loops after she kicked the stewardess in the bottom. Her legs were also bound with gaffer tape.

The passenger was said to have staggered into first class demanding more alcohol, kicked a meals trolley, snapped an arm rest and fell on another passenger. The hospital receptionist’s outburst made children cry and one family moved to another deck, the report added. Magistrates have sent the case to the crown court for sentencing.
