KEMAMAN, Jun 10 – The installation of the Automated Enforcement System (AES) cameras in selected locations along the East Coast Highway 2 (LPT2) will be a boon for users’ safety, said Terengganu Infrastructure, Public Facilities, Energy and Green Technology Rosli Othman.
He said the AES cameras were being installed by PLUS Malaysia Berhad at some stretched including at Chukai, Kijal and Paka. He said it is a government effort to ensure LPT2 users do not drive too fast, thus reducing accident risks. He also said that the AES cameras installation is to educate road users to be more careful while driving. He added that it is not aimed at penalising the road users. He told this to the reporters at a breaking fast event here today. — Bernama
