PETALING JAYA, Jan 10 – The new retail price for petrol RON95 and RON97 will down by 3 sen while the price of diesel remain unchange. The new prices will come into effect on Thursday until Jan 17. The new price after Goods and Services Tax (GST), the retail price of petrol is as follows:
- RON95 : From RM 2.29/liter to RM 2.26/liter (↓3 sen)
- RON97 : From RM 2.56/liter to RM 2.53/liter (↓3 sen)
- DIESEL : From RM 2.32/liter (Unchange)
This was announced on the domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism ministry’s Twitter account and website on Wednesday evening. The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect on March 29, 2017. Prices of petrol and diesel were placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014, following the removal of fuel subsidies. — PN
