GEORGE TOWN, April 9 – Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng seek his excellency TYT Tun Dato’ Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abbas this morning for consent to dissolve the Penang State Legislative Assembly.
Lim’s official car was seen entering the Penang Governor’s official residence, Seri Mutiara, at about 8.30am today. State secretary Datuk Seri Farizan Darus was with Lim to seek an audience with the governor.
Lim’s car left Seri Mutiara at about 9.05am. Meanwhile, he is also expected to hold a press conference to announce the dissolution of the state legislative assembly at about 1.45pm today.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced the dissolution of Parliament last Saturday on April 7, paving way for GE14. He told respective states to seek audiences with their heads of state to dissolve the respective state assemblies. — PN
