ALOR SETAR, May 10 – The state police have received five reports from the public over a failure to vote in the 14th General Election (GE14) today. Its media relations officer, ACP Ab Rahaman Arsad said about 4pm, four of the reports were made at the Jitra police station and the other at the Naka police station in Padang Terap.

He said the four reports were from voters whose names were allegedly crossed out of the voting list at the polling stations and not allowed to vote. “The other involved a case where the complainant’s name was not in the electoral roll.

“All reports lodged will be referred to the Election Commission (EC) for further investigation,” he said in a statement today. He said overall, the voting process throughout Kedah was smoothly without any untoward incident. — Bernama
