PUTRAJAYA, Jun 5 – Former Umno Supreme Council member Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim yesterday officially became a member of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).
Bersatu chairman cum Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad presented the membership card to Rais at the party’s breaking of fast event here last night. The handing over of the card to the former socio-cultural advisor to the government was made as Dr Mahathir finished delivering his speech at the event.
Also present were Bersatu president and Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Mahathir, who is also Kedah Mentri Besar, Perak Mentri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu and Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Osman Sapian. — Bernama
