It’s not tough to learn one simple skill to produce a perfect coffee. Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) conducted Coffee Series workshop alongside with 2F+ Coffee Roastery at last weekend. Total 24 participants attended the workshop. We hope that this series is to help Penang Youth develop basic understanding about coffee and also to spread awareness of coffee culture among Penang Youth.
Thus, PYDC hope that this series able to build up a community among young coffee lovers in order for them to gather around to have a fruitful connection between each other. On the 3 of April 2021, Basic Coffee Knowledge Workshop were conducted at 2F+ Coffee Roastery Relau with 12 youth participants attended the workshop. Throughout this session, the module that Mr Wong (Owner of 2F+ Coffee Roaster) concludes theories of the coffee belts, coffee beans varieties, taste of coffee from different countries and so on. After theories session, participants also given the opportunity to have a hands-on experience in brewing filter coffee & drop bag coffee.
As for Basic Latte Art Workshop which conducted on the 4 of April 2021, 12 youth registered through PYDC had join the workshop also. This session also covers the same theory as the one in Basic Coffee Knowledge Workshop, but it has a different practical hands-on experience for our young participants, such as milk pouring technique, how to operate an espresso machine, milk steaming technique and actual latte art pouring session.
