Soft Opening of the Kek Lok Si Charitable Hospital

The Chairman of the Kek Lok Si Charitable Hospital (KLSCH) Ven. Seck Jit Heng is very pleased to announce the soft opening of the first ever Buddhist charitable hospital in Malaysia on 18 July, 2021 (Sunday) at 8:30am. The Grand opening will be at later date. The charitable hospital is fully funded by the Yayasan Kek Lok Si. We have obtained the necessary approval from the Ministry of Health to operate the Hospital. Our specialist doctors will begin consultations at 8:30am on the same day,” he said in a media statement today.

The KLSCH is a 50-bedded specialist hospital with Resident Consultants in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedic and Trauma and Joint Reconstructive, Anesthesiology, Geriatric Medicine, Radiology and Otorhinolaryngology (ENT). We also have Sessional Consultants in Nephrology and Visiting Consultant in Cardiology. The Hospital Board Member cum Medical Superintendent Dato’ Dr Teng Hock Nan said, the hospital is equipped with modern and state-of-the-art medical equipment and devices.

Amongst the facilities and services available in the hospital are CT-Scan, Ultrasound, X-rays, in- house Laboratory tests, Specialists Clinics, General Ward Care, Intensive Care, Haemodialysis, Accident & Emergency, Physiotherapy, Modular Operating Theatres, Ambulance Service and Pharmacy. The hospital is open to all Malaysian citizens regardless of race and religion. In line with the vision to be one of the foremost charity hospitals, KLSCH is committed to provide affordable and high-quality healthcare services to the community and support the needy who are unable to meet the full cost of their medical bills.
