GEORGE TOWN, September 21 – The National COVID-19 Immunization Program (PICK) for students and teenagers in the state will begin tomorrow, 22 September 2021 (Wednesday). For a start (tomorrow) the vaccination will involve students (16 to 17 years old) who have a permanent address in the state of Penang but full boarding outside the state of Penang.
Appointments of relevant students will be notified through the MySejahtera application, and parents/heirs/guardians must be present and advised to bring the necessary documents, especially the COVID-19 Vaccine Injection Consent Form to ensure the vaccination process runs smoothly.
In the meantime, on 23 September 2021 (Thursday) starting at 9 am to 12 noon, vaccination sessions involving school students aged 16 to 17 years (without comorbidities) at six (6) Vaccination Centers (PPV) are as follows :-
(i) PPV SPICE Convention Center;
(ii) Seberang Jaya Expo Site PPV;
(iii) PPV Vangohh Eminent Hotel;
(iv) PPV Dewan Perda Convention Center;
(v) Millennium Council PPV;
(vi) PPV Sungai Bakap Multipurpose Hall.
All appointments will be notified through the MySejahtera application. In addition to having to be present during the vaccination process, parents/heirs/guardians also need to ensure that all student identification documents and the COVID-19 Vaccine Injection Consent Form are signed and brought along.
For teenagers aged 12 to 17 years old with comorbidities, vaccination appointments will be conducted at the nearest hospitals and appointment notifications are also available through the MySejahtera application. Get your vaccine towards building cluster immunity in Penang. Penang Against COVID-19!
