GEORGE TOWN, October 2 – The Penang State Government welcomes Hotel NEO+ Penang’s transformation into a Low-Risk Quarantine Centre (PKRC) effective 5 October 2021. Penang State Executive Councillor for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Yeoh Soon Hin in a statement today, said that this PKRC has a total of 196 rooms and are classified into 4 different categories to accommodate the ranging needs of patients.
“The hotel management has completed the necessary procedures to facilitate this transformation, such as the usage of vinyl flooring to ease thorough sanitisation works,” he said after a site visit yesterday to the hotel alongside the Penang State Health Department. With this latest addition, Hotel NEO+ Penang serves as the 3rd hotel-turned PKRC in the state, after Royale Chulan and Mei Hotel. The room rates for Hotel NEO+ start from RM150/night.
