BAYAN LEPAS, November 30 – A total of 800 ++ vacancies are offered at FLEX and interviews will be conducted online. Among the positions offered are Technical Assistant, Production Operator, QA Inspector and Store Operator. This program is an initiative under the “We Want You” platform to help organizations find the necessary talent and reduce youth unemployment in Penang and the PYDC is working with FLEX for the second time to open opportunities for youths. Recruitment revenue for the initiative held in October reached 43% overall.
‘We Want You’ is a career platform launched in 2020, this career platform helps reduce the youth unemployment rate in Penang. So far a total of 467 employers have registered in this platform and advertised a total of 998 job opportunities. The job opportunity targets a salary of up to RM 2600 ++ for the position of Technical Assistant. For the position of Production Operator, QA Inspector and Store Operator the salary target is 2400 ++.
Among the benefits offered to employees are annual salary increase, annual bonus, monthly performance incentive, morning shift allowance of RM 9 and night shift allowance of RM15, dental and eye treatment, panel and specialist clinic treatment (including spouses and dependents), facilities free transportation and boarding, and so on. Training will be given before work and working hours are two shifts.
The collaboration with FLEX also involves four youth centers, namely, Pulau Betong Youth Center, Seberang Jaya Youth Center, Sungai Pinang Youth Center, and Penanti Youth Center.
