The proclamation ceremony will be held at the hall of Eastern & Oriental Hotel on 2 th December 2021. The presentation of the Patron’s Letter will be completed by YBhg. Mej. Jen. Prof. Dato ’Dr. Mohd. Zin bin Bidin (B), Acting Chief of National Scouts and Chief Commissioner of National Scouts and witnessed by the PPM delegation in the Courtesy Call to His Excellency the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang. In this ceremony, His Excellency (TYT) Yang di-Pertua Negeri Penang was also awarded the Highest Medal of Malaysian Scouts, namely the First Class Paddy Spirit Star (Gold).
The proclamation of His Excellency the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang as the Patron of the Malaysian Scout Federation is based on the Procedure, Organization and Rules (POR) That Part 11, Section 1, Article 11-2 (b), in the Organizational Procedures and Regulations (POR) Policy of 2010 , read in conjunction with Act 784- Federation of Scouts of Malaysia Act 1968 (revised 2016), is part of the responsibility of the Chief National Scout to proclaim the Patrons of the Patrons: His Majesty the Malay Rulers and His Excellencies The Heads of State of Melaka, Penang, Sabah and Sarawak are the Patrons.
For information, TYT was also a scout member when he was studying at SMK Tinggi Bukit Mertajam. TYT also expressed his happiness and fun while sharing his experience of scouting while in school. His Excellency, who is sensitive to the development of the Penang state scouts, also assisted the Penang State Malaysian Scout Federation in matters related to the Scout Camp in Teluk Bahang.
TYT is always concerned about the development of squatting in the state of Penang. He hopes that the young people in the state will get involved in beneficial activities to avoid being trapped in immoral activities. Tun also hoped that various activities could be held from time to time for the participation of scout members to train and educate young people to be useful people who can serve the community in the future.
TYT also expressed his hope that as one of the largest organizations in the world, Scouts will bring changes and new developments in line with the age of technology and multimedia in producing excellent human capital in terms of emotional, physical, spiritual and spiritual. Thank you.
