KUALA LUMPUR, December 19 – Until 11 pm, 18 December 2021, a total of 188 Temporary Evacuation Centers (PPS) have been opened throughout the country in 6 affected states, namely Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Selangor. A total of 11,384 victims from 4,500 families were involved.
39 PPS were opened in Kelantan, 2 PPS in Terengganu, 84 PPS in Pahang, 9 PPS in Melaka, 9 PPS in Negeri Sembilan and 45 PPS in Selangor. All aid and assets are managed and have been mobilized by the State and Central Disaster Management Committees.
In total, 66,015 enforcement agency personnel from PDRM, ATM, Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, Malaysian Civil Defense Force, JKR, JKM, District Office and PBT. A total of 5,731 PPS are available nationwide which can accommodate 1,628,512 victims.
Situation during the flood in Selangor Until 10.30 pm, 45 Temporary Evacuation Centers were opened to accommodate a total of 3,826 victims from 2551 families. A total of 453 vehicle and logistics assets from various agencies such as APM PDRM, JBPM, KKM, APMM, ATM, Rela, and JKM were mobilized. to assist the victim with a strength of 2,817 members.
“Attention Kuala Lumpur residents. The four main rivers have breached their danger levels; Sg Batu in Sentul, Sg Klang in (Jln) Tun Perak, Sg Gombak in Jln Tun Razak and Sg Kerayong at Razak Mansion,” he said in a Twitter post. “Be prepared for a high chance of floods.”
