PENANG, December 26 – While learning to love yourself throughout the campaign journey, everyone is encouraged to participate in YOUphoria’s online diary writing competition called “Hey YOU! What’s your Story? ” on 14th December 2021. Participants will stand a chance to win attractive prizes. Organised by persuasive communication final year students from School of Communication Universiti Sains Malaysia, this competition is in conjunction with the YOUphoria campaign.
The two-months social campaign is conducted online with the aim to educate youth on the importance of self-care, self love, empowerment and to inspire youth to make positive lifestyle choices. The theme of a diary writing competition is “Self-Care and Coping with Life After Lockdown”, held using the self-diary concept and aims to encourage youth to write a diary journaling for themselves. The “Dear Diary is here to listen to Your story” attempts to assist youth by expressing their untold story to the diary in order for them to feel released.
Participants in this competition must be between the ages of 15 and 30. Essays should not exceed 300 words in English or Bahasa Malaysia and should be written in the form of a Dear Diary entry. Participants can describe their awesome, awkward, or memorable post-lockdown experience.They could describe their experiences following lockdown and how self-care activities affect how they feel about themselves. They can also share how they keep themselves feeling positive and motivated during the challenging times.
The competition is open from December 21, 2021, through January 8, 2021. Participants must use the Google Form link provided on all of YOUphoria’s official social media channels to complete a submission form. The competition winners will be announced during YOUphoria’s closing ceremony on 17th January 2021 and YOUphoria’s social media platforms. 1st Prize: worth RM150 + E-Certificate
2nd Prize: worth RM100 + E-Certificate
