PENANG, January 4 – While trying to educate the youth to love and appreciating themself throughout the campaign journey, the organiser also encouraged the public to join in YOUphoria’s special self inspiring webinar named “YOU Shine” on 19th December 2021. YOU Shine webinar is conducted online with the aim to educate youth on the importance of self-care, self love, empowerment and also to inspire youth to have a positive lifestyle.
Organised by persuasive communication final year students from School of Communication Universiti Sains Malaysia, this Webinar is in conjunction with the YOUphoria campaign. YOU Shine, which was held via the Webex platform and live streamed through IAP Facebook, aims to increase youth awareness on the importance of self-care and self-love was attended by almost 100 participants.
This webinar brings motivational speaker Farhaan Rahmat and Communication School Alumni Sanglisha Kunasekaran also known as a 2nd runner up of Miss Earth Malaysia as speakers. They shared how they keep themselves feeling positive and motivated during the challenging times.
The sharing session by Farhaan Rahmat is very exciting and inspiring. He touched on how to reach a self-love and empowerment life. Farhaan Rahmat shared the tips on maintaining self-love such as self-affirmation and many more. “Learn to forgive yourself and everyone else around you, the forgiving is not for them but for your inner calmness and to move on”.
He has also highlighted that Self-love needs to start by improving our mindset, that each person is created differently with their own strengths and weaknesses. Posting your problems on social media will not help much, in fact Farhaan Rahmat advise the youth to be carefully with what they post on the social media,
In the same stage, Sanglisha emphasises on the spirit of staying true to yourself and being proud of who you are. “Everyone is unique in the world”. She reminds the audience to look up to people, to learn from them, and to make a good one as a role model in life. She shared simple tips and techniques to foster self-love and to give priority to oneself as well.
There’s no need to be perfect to inspire others. Let others get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections. Accepting your flaws is one step towards loving yourself. This webinar is a gesture of love and affection. Loving yourself is the foundation for a flourishing future. The webinar participants were enthusiastic and was very interactive throughout the session asking about tips and how they can improve their life and be better.
Self-love is a treasure which can only be seen through your own eyes.
