GEORGE TOWN, January 7 – On behalf of Penang State Government, Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) is here to synergize an effort to honor and appreciate the Penangites youth for any of their awards that they had won in competition where they had represented the Penang State by bestowing them the newly launched incentive scheme.
This scheme will be granted on any outstanding achievements on the talents of Penang youth in academic or co-curricular involvements that are recognized by government agencies or any professional bodies, said Dr. Gwee Sai Ling, the General Manager of PYDC.

This ‘Best! Anak Penang SIKBMPP’ incentive scheme inculcates the young people in Penang to be active in contributing their talents to the State of Penang. This incentive scheme is only open to Malaysian youth from the age of 15 to 30-years-old that has contributed in the name of Penang. In addition to that, participants must be born and live in Penang for at least more than three (3) years to be entitled for this incentive scheme.
Participants must at least possess five (5) qualified state winning award certificates for either academic or co-curricular or three (3) qualified International winning award certificates. The ‘Best! Anak Penang SIKBMPP’ scheme has a total of four (4) categories of Individual Scheme ranging from RM300 to RM1000 and four (4) categories of Team Player Scheme ranging from RM800 to RM3000 open for enrollment to Penang youth.
During the ceremony of Best! Anak Penang SIKBMPP, Penang State EXCO for Youth and Sports, YB Soon Lip Chee stressed that “the young people are the key to our promising future. A future for you and our country; a key to building a dynamic and progressive community. In the effort to build an advanced country, young people are the pillars of our nation.”
