GEORGE TOWN, January 10 – Due to the current situation in the country which is still facing the COVID-19 pandemic and has not fully recovered, the Penang State Government has decided that the YAB Chief Minister’s Chinese New Year Open House this year cannot be held.
The decision was made after taking into account the security aspects of all parties, especially the people of Penang as a whole. Furthermore, there is a need for strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), especially with the recent detection of several cases of Omicron variants in Penang.
Maintain self -control and remain disciplined in complying with the SOPs set for the sake of yourself, family and the surrounding community. Together we break the COVID-19 distribution chain in our beloved state. Penang Against COVID-19!
