GEORGE TOWN, January 26 – The people of Penang will enjoy the double-decker bus service which will be operated by Rapid Penang starting 1 February 2022. It will give a new image to the transportation system in Penang.
The operation of this double -decker bus is capable of carrying 108 passengers at a time, this bus with the concept of universal access is seen to be able to handle the demand and high passenger capacity in some areas.
According to a Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd spokesperson, double-decker bus operations will be implemented on route 301 from Weld Quay Bus Terminal to Relau and 302 from Weld Quay Bus Terminal to Batu Maung as both routes have high demand and passenger capacity.
This initiative is expected to increase the number of passengers who will use the Rapid Penang bus service.
Passengers can use the PULSE app developed by Prasarana which can be downloaded from Google Play and the App Store to get the latest information on Rapid Bus services to help them plan their trip.
