Happy Chinese New Year to all Malaysian families of Chinese descent.

After two years of having to celebrate the new year from a distance and being separated from family, this year the Chinese community was able to return to celebrate the Chinese New Year with their parents and beloved family.

It is hoped that this opportunity will strengthen and strengthen family ties. But in good times, don’t forget the standard operating procedures (SOP) in ensuring that we can all survive to curb the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Thank you to the entire Chinese community who have joined hands with other races such as Malays, Indians, Kadazan, Dusun, Murut, Iban, Bidayuh and Melanau as a Malaysian Family.

In conjunction with the Year of the Tiger, it is hoped that all the government’s efforts to ensure economic stability and the well-being of the people can be improved until the following years.
Let us continue to be united in supporting the government’s efforts to rehabilitate and restructure the country’s economy to make Malaysia a fully developed nation.

The Malaysian economy is on the right track towards recovery, based on the reopening of more than 90% of economic sectors, and most social activities. The recovery was supported by high vaccination rates with almost the entire population having been vaccinated.

With the momentum of recovery, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is on a strong track to continue growing between 5.5% and 6.5% in 2022. It is in line with projections by the IMF at 6.0% and the World Bank at 5.8%.

This growth will be driven mainly by the expanding Budget 2022 worth RM332.1 billion, the normalization of economic and social activities.

The resumption of projects with high multiplier effects and strong external demand especially from major trading partners also boosted economic growth.

All this is in line with the government’s intention in the 12th Malaysia Plan to achieve a high-income nation by 2025 through various initiatives outlined.

Let us all pray, may this year bring prosperity, happiness and good health for the entire Malaysian Family.
