BATU PAHAT, March 3 – It is unacceptable and flabbergasted to read Tony Pua’s statement criticizing the Foon Yew Board of Governors for inviting Dato Sri Najib to speak at the school last week. Tony Pua is making ridiculous demand by calling for the sacking of the school governors.
The School Board of Governors has every right and authority in our democratic society to invite anyone to their school, if the invitee is someone who has extended invaluable assistance to the school. In this case, Dato Sri Najib stands out clearly as someone who has made immeasurable assistance to the school. It is the School Board of Governors’ gesture of showing gratitude and appreciation to the former PM.
Tony Pua should ask himself, Lim Guan Eng and Lim Kit Siang, why were they not invited by the school? Doesn’t he should be ashamed of himself and of his party leaders? The answer is obvious that does not need rocket science to provide the answer!
Tony Pua’s remark that inviting Dato Sri Najid to the school showed the students that `it was acceptable to cheat, lie, steal and abuse of power’ shows signs of jittery of losing the Chinese support by the DAP.
Tony Pua has memory lapsed. DAP, in particular Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng have been criticizing Tun Dr. Mahathir as a dictator, authoritarian, abuse of power, cronyism, etc. over the entire tenure of Tun Dr. Mahathir as PM for 22 years.
In the last general election, DAP went to town to convince the voters that Tun Dr. Mahathir was the savior of the nation. By Tony Pua’s analogy, is DAP telling Malaysians that dictatorship, authoritarian, abuse of power, and cronyism acceptable? My advice to Tony Pua is stop being arrogant. I am not the one who says you are arrogant but Tun Dr. Mahathir!
