GEORGE TOWN, April 25 – MUDA Pulau Pinang is proud to announce our collaboration with the social enterprise plattorm ACTnow, through our shared mission of building better communities by connecting people and local authorities in highlighting common issues.
ACTnow, currently the official holder of The Malaysia Book of Record – “First Community Engagement
Mobile Application”, has been striving to solve community problems. It was set up as a free application
to protect and serve the public interests, in an easy to use manner.
The success of this effort calls for active participation from the people, local councils, and authorities on all matters regarding community well-being and consumer protection. MUDA Pulau Pinang has been engaged in ongoing efforts towards improving the living standards of fellow Penangites, through pro bono law consultations, charity events and donations, community engagements and social awareness programs.
This collaboration is a powerful platform towards achieving our end goals, which is politics through service, impactful policies and values. Towards this shared goal, ACTnow and MUDA Pulau Pinang both jointly organized a Special Community Project in Pulau Pinang on the 24’* of April, between 11am to 3pm, that involved the entire 13 State Parliamentary Constituencies.
This project involved all of our MUDA designate Ketua Parliaments simultaneously going to the ground with their teams to conduct and report community issues via the ACThow Community Engagement Mobile Application. This represents the first of its kind community project that involves the entire state Parliament seats and deserves due recognition to encourage other states and citizens to follow suit by downloading the social app and reporting common issues faced.
ACTnow has been well accepted by 155 Local Councils in Malaysia as a platform to conveniently highlight community issues. We are more than excited to be working with MUDA Pulau Pinang in this remarkable project in order to serve the community even better.
MUDA Pula Pinang is thrilled to have an easily accessible platform that enables us to better serve the
community and raise up issues in a clear, transparent and auditable manner which is aligned with our
policies of politics through service.
