KUALA LUMPUR, May 2 – Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad (Takaful IKHLAS), a wholly -owned subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Berhad (MNRB), has injected joy into 200 selected convert families around Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Melaka through the IKHLAS Barakah Box program in conjunction with with the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration. IKHLAS Barakah Box is a program to distribute food donations to communities in need and it is a joint venture program between Takaful IKHLAS and Persatuan Inspirasi Mualaf.
The IKHLAS Barakah Box program is also one of the activities under IKHLAS Barakah House which is a shariah-compliant fundraising initiative by Takaful IKHLAS that aims to generate positive community development and sustainability through financial assistance and activities that include community involvement with five ( 5) the main focus is the empowerment of education, economy, society, health and also the environment.
Takaful IKHLAS has also recently shared its sustenance with the front line staff at the University of Malaya Medical Center (UMMC), as well as the public through the preparation and distribution of more than 2,500 packages of bubur lambuk to enliven their Ramadan celebrations.
The donation of the lambuk porridge was completed by En. Zaharudin Daud, President & Group Chief Executive Officer of MNRB Holdings Berhad with Prof. Dr. Nazirah Binti Hassan, Director of the University of Malaya Medical Center. Dato ‘Rodzila Che Lamin, President & Chief Executive Officer of Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad and En. Muhammad Fikri Mohamad Rawi, President & Chief Executive Officer of Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad.
This lambuk porridge distribution activity is one of the ways Takaful IKHLAS appreciates those who have worked hard every day to maintain the health and well -being of patients. Takaful IKHLAS has also handed over a contribution of RM5,000 to the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Mosque to help make the programs organized by the mosque a success during the month of Ramadan this year.
