KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 – Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin has quit Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) and joining the newly formed Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM). Zuraida will meet with the YAB Prime Minister, Dato ‘Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to discuss her resignation as Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities from the cabinet.
Zuraida have been in politics for 24 years, including the last 14 years as the Member of Parliament for Ampang. She will be continue supporting the Ismail’s government, in line with PBM’s stand. Zuraida had joined Bersatu after being sacked from PKR in the wake of the Sheraton Move in 2020.
