KUALA LUMPUR, July 5 – Former Prime Minister Najib Razak has lashed out at Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin for getting his priorities wrong at a time when the people are struggling with the rise in the cost of living, among other things. The Pekan MP said the latter’s announcement yesterday that he met with Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob to discuss various Cabinet and government positions was highly inappropriate.
“Why ask for government positions when the focus should be on rehabilitating the economy and controlling inflation,” Najib said in a Facebook post. He added that this was not the time to ask for the posts of deputy prime minister and ministers or more committees to be formed.
