SHAH ALAM, July 17 – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was today officially announced as the President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) for the 2022-2025 session at the 16th PKR National Congress after winning the number one position unopposed in the 2022 PKR Election. The decision of the new PKR leadership was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Central Electoral Committee (CEC) Saiful Izham Ramli.
Former Pandan Member of Parliament, Mohd Rafizi Ramli was officially elected as PKR Deputy President, defeating the party’s Secretary General, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail. According to PKR’s official website, Mohd Rafizi got 59,678 votes while Saifuddin Nasution got 43,010 votes. Meanwhile, four PKR vice -presidential posts which saw a 17 -cornered contest were won by Selangor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Amiruddin Shari (46,075 votes), Tanjong Malim Member of Parliament, Chang Lih Kang (34,939),
Setiawangsa Member of Parliament, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad (34,496 votes) while Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun (33,230 votes). Also announced is a list of 20 new members of the Central Leadership Council (MPP) elected by 2,665 delegates at the PKR National Congress on Saturday.
