KEPALA BATAS, August 6 – MUDA Kepala Batas welcomes the decision of the developer who has decided not to proceed with the proposed Employee Dormitory project based in Penang Technology Park, Bertam Kepala Batas. Thank you to the Penang State Government for facilitating the “Town Hall” on June 8, taking into account the views and suggestions presented by the local residents regarding the proposed project.
Now residents in the Bertam area and around Kepala Batas can breathe a sigh of relief following the decision by the developer of the Penang Technology Park project to agree NOT TO PROCEED with the proposal to develop a Centralized Worker’s Dormitory (CLQ) in this area. MUDA Kepala Batas will continue to monitor developments if there are changes if there is a need to redevelop the Centralized Worker’s Hostel as stated by the State Government today and suggest that it can be minimized as much as possible to ensure job opportunities are given to the local residents first.
