GEORGE TOWN, August 21 – A night of music descends upon Penang Island this 16th of September, as Uah Music Festival 2022 takes over Hin Bus Depot with a diverse line-up of bands, ready to mesmerize and captivate. From post-rock to acoustic folk, a total of 4 Stages, 25 Musical Acts, 8 Hours of Non Stop Music acts will entertain festival goers within Penang’s historical bus depot, now repurposed as a community hub for creative arts.
Uah Music Festival 2022 aims to enthrall music lovers with a variety of bands from different genres, all of which brought together under a one-day festival brimming with virtuosic performances. There’s a little bit of everything for everyone, and festival goers can expect to have their musical senses tantalized by the end of Uah Music Festival’s 8 hour run-time. With the 25 festival headliners, this is one homegrown festival that should be experienced firsthand.
4 stages namely World, Rock, Acoustic and Electronic with several music genres from acoustic solo to rock, from culture to experimental sound design will be scattered around the space of the venue. With the historical setting, festival goers can walk around freely to enjoy different music at different stages at one time. A specially curated creative market is also happening during the festival. Creative craftsmen and artists from different states will come together for festival goers to shop around.
Having 4 unique stages to maximize the joy of listening which Rock Stage is for all the bands, locating at the mural garden of Hin Bus Depot, Electronic Stage is at Gallery, especially for EDM and experimental sound design, Acoustic Stage is under the big tree of carpark area, we love the natural beauty of that tree, so we turn it to a platform for solo or dual acoustic set and World Stage is located at COEX work space, which is a new extension of Hinbus depot. This stage will be showcasing music groups with traditional elements.
