IPOH, October 6 – People’s Justice Party (PKR) will contest more seats than Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) and DAP in Perak in the 15th General Election (GE15). Perak PKR Elections Director, Tan Kar Hing said, the seats involve the Parliament and State Assembly in Perak. According to him, in general all the seats won by the component parties in the last GE14 remain status quo.
“So far I can say that PKR will still compete in more seats in Perak for the Parliamentary and State Assembly seats, but I cannot share the number today. Regardless, we have to respect the Presidential Council. The seats that have been won, we keep the candidates from that party. There are only seats of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) which we split up and divide into PH.
Also present at the press conference was the state PKR Deputy Chairman, Mohamad Hairul Amir Sabri. Asked about DAP’s intention to contest in the Malay majority voter area, Kar Hing said that every party has the right to make a request since there are one or two seats that have not yet been finalized. He explained that the division of seats will take into account the strength and chances of the parties to win in the area.
