KUALA LUMPUR, October 7 – His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong agreed to meet YAB Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob for a Pre-Cabinet meeting at Istana Negara, today. The Pre-Cabinet Meeting is one of His Majesty’s main weekly or routine activities to discuss and exchange opinions with YAB Prime Minister regarding matters and issues related to the government.
Earlier, the Prime Minister informed that the issue of the dissolution of Parliament may be discussed in the meeting if matters related to the Cabinet are resolved early. Ismail Sabri was seen leaving the Istana Negara at about 4.45pm after less than an hour before the Agong. About 100 local and international media personnel gathered outside the entrance of Istana Negara as early as 7.30am.
Following strong speculation that the Prime Minister would appear before the Agong to advise on the date for the dissolution of Parliament. Early Thursday morning, Al-Sultan Abdullah agreed to go to a prayer briefing session to prepare for disasters and floods at the National Flood Forecasting and Warning Center (PRABN), Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS) in Ampang, Selangor.
