KUALA LUMPUR, October 9 – The three states led by Pakatan Harapan (PH) including Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Penang will not follow in the footsteps of the Federal Government if the 15th General Election (GE15) is held during the flood season said Pakatan Harapan Chairman, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim after the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council which held yesterday.
A discussion with the Chief Ministers of Selangor and Negeri Sembilan as well as the Chief Minister of Penang yesterday regarding the date of dissolution of the State Legislature for the three states. The Presidential Council took note of the report of the Department of Meteorology which said that the phenomenon of La Nina and the Northeast monsoon until the beginning of next year will see a high amount of rainfall with the possibility of heavy rain and flooding in most states.
The Presidential Council also noted that the State Governments of Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Pula Pinang have increased the level of preparedness to face the flood season in their respective states in accordance with the principle of prioritizing the fate of the people in relation to life and property.
