SHAH ALAM, October 9 – UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi claimed that BN’s opposition parties know the slander and that their new promises cannot deceive the people. According to him, because of that they hope that the excuse of the rainy season can continue to ‘buy time’ to avoid facing the people’s decision. He said that the real trick of BN’s opposition parties is to refuse to face the 15th General Election (GE15) because they know they are rejected by the majority of the people.
The BN machinery needs to be quick to explain to the people that BN’s opponents are protesting GE15 not because of the rainy season. The people need to be presented with the fact that BN’s opponents have rejected the democratic process from taking place since last year. Starting with the reason that Covid-19 is still there when group immunity has been achieved, then giving the reason that there is no need to hold GE15.
Because the opposition has entered into an MoU (memorandum of understanding) with the government,” he said in a post on his Facebook on Wednesday. The Member of Parliament for Bagan Datuk said that the people need to understand that GE15 is very important to form a stable and strong government to face the risk of disaster. That fact is important to be clarified so that the people are able to make fair judgments in evaluating the new defamation.
