SHAH ALAM, October 10 – UMNO Supreme Working Council member, Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi hinted that Parliament will be dissolved today. “It is understood that the moon has been clearly seen in Putrajaya. ‘Raya’ or ‘Election’,” he wrote briefly on his Facebook page on Sunday. Previously, the media reported that the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, this evening met the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
The meeting is said to be for His Majesty’s approval regarding the dissolution of Parliament to make way for the 15th General Election (GE15) to be held. Last Thursday, the Istana Negara became the focus of the media after Ismail Sabri appeared before His Majesty for an hour. UMNO’s Supreme Working Council previously determined that the dissolution of Parliament should be done in the near future to make way for GE15 to be held this year.
