PETALING JAYA, October 11 – Negotiations between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and the Malaysian Democratic Alliance Party (MUDA) to cooperate in the 15th General Election are still ongoing and there is progress, said PH Chairman, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He, who is also PKR President, said that the media report that went viral on Monday claiming that PH rejected Muda was not true.
“It’s not right…(tolak Muda), we are still negotiating and there is progress,” he said briefly to reporters after the Special Meeting of the PKR Central Leadership Council (MPP) at the PKR Headquarters here on Monday night. Earlier Anwar chaired the meeting which started at 9.40pm and was also attended by its Deputy President, Rafizi Ramli and Vice President, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun who is also Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar; Women’s Leader Fadhlina Sidek and Youth Leader Adam Adli as well as MPP Members.
Meanwhile, PKR’s Head of Information, Ahmad Fahmi Fadzil said, the final decision on the cooperation between PH and Muda is expected to be obtained as early as this Wednesday. According to him, the meeting was held following the dissolution of Parliament announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today, which included discussing the preparations for PKR’s election machinery as well as the party’s desire to compete in more parliamentary seats for GE15.
