KUALA LUMPUR, October 13 – UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said, his statement in the recent MIC Assembly has been misinterpreted. According to him, the criminal trial that the UMNO leadership will have to face if they lose in the 15th General Election (GE15) means selective prosecution which is politically motivated.
According to him, the prosecution was deliberately designed and fabricated by BN’s enemies to oppress, damage and bring down the image of BN leaders if they win GE15 late. “Like what they did immediately after holding the power of national administration after winning GE14 on 9 May 2018. The essence of it is political prosecution, selective prosecution, tyrannical prosecution full of tricks and deceit to strengthen power.
