KUALA LUMPUR, October 15 – BN chose to go solo following Pas’ decision to strengthen cooperation in the National Alliance (PN) in the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15). Its chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said, the party also maintains an image that is always based on simplicity and is able to offer stability and prosperity to the people of multiple races and religions in the country. Pas Pusat’s decision to continue with PN to face GE15 is expected.
The fact is, UMNO has never closed the door to any noble effort towards the unification of the ummah based on the values of sincerity and honesty. With this decision, UMNO together with BN will continue to move solo by maintaining the image of the party which always focuses on moderation,” he said in a statement on Thursday. The Central Pass Working Committee meeting held on Thursday made a decision to continue to strengthen cooperation in PN to face GE15.
