GEORGE TOWN, October 17 – The Penang State Government has planned to develop and transform the Relau Agricultural Station intn Agricultural Silicon Valley in Penang. For the purpose,State Government has organized the Relau Agricultural Station Master Plan Competition since last May as a platform to get the best ideas for the master plan. In addition to the Penang Department of Agriculture, which is also the owner of the land.
This competition was also judged by a professional jury consisting of Government Departments & non-governmental organizations (NGOs). From a total of 20 entries and after undergoing two (2) judging sessions that ended on October 3, the winners for this competition are hereby announced the First Place were Tech Valley Row Group, Second Place were Qhawarizmi Architect and Third Place were SMOA-ANGKASALAB.
The Penang State Government distribute a cash prize of RM30,000 to the first winner, RM 15,000 to the second winner and RM 7,000 to the third winner as well as give a consolation prize worth RM 2,000 to five (5) participants who successfully enter the final stage of this competition. “I am very proud and excited about the ideas presented, in line with the goals of the State Government which is really focused on the state development agenda based on the Penang2030 Vision – Smart and Green State Based on National Inspiring Families” said Chow Kon Yeow.
