PUTRAJAYA, October 20 – Malaysia to hold its 15th General Election (GE15) on November 19, 2022 (Saturday), Early Vote on November 15, 2022 (Tuesday), Nomination Day for Candidates on November 5, 2022 (Saturday) and Campaign Period will last for 14 Days said Election Commission (EC) Chairman Abdul Ghani Salleh, this morning, October 20 at Menara SPR, Putrajaya.
This announcement came after Malaysia’s King, Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah has urged the Election Commission to hold polls as soon as possible as the annual monsoon rains that cause widespread flooding usually begin in mid-November and continue until March. The last 14th General Election in 2018 which Parliament was dissolved on April 6, Polls were held on May 9.
